Downloading
Data
The S-Poll Interface will retrieve the
fuel and nonfuel sales data generated
by the Station-Minder 2000's Daily
Report.
Once polled, the data
can be posted to the Computerized
Daily Book, the most complete
daily book program in the industry, or
the data may be retrieved in ASCII
file format to be used with other
applications.
Volume and money
totals, by cash and credit, fuel
inventory, and tank status reports are
among the information that can be
polled.
A scheduler program is
included that enables the polling
process to take place automatically,
allowing unattended polling.
Uploading
Parameters
The S-Poll Interface makes programming
your Suntronic console easy. Data can
be uploaded (sent) to the console
enabling you to perform management
functions such as adjusting inventory
item prices on the PC.
You can upload new
site prices for all your Suntronic
consoles from a central location. This
helps assure uniformity among your
sites and significantly reduces the
time required to make changes.
Communications
The data can be passed between the
console and PC on-site using a direct
connect cable or off-site using a pair
of telephone modems. Information can
be sent and received instantly.
Data
Interchange Format
The S-Poll program stores data in an
ASCII file. With this information the
operator can use the data to create
custom reports using other application
programs.
